The Bank has established
seven operational arms - namely Banking Department
(H.O.), Shanghai Branch, Shenzhen Branch, Nanjing
Branch, Dalian Branch, Chengdu Branch and Qingdao Branch, six domestic representative
offices in Harbin, Xi'an,
Wuhan, Hangzhou, Fuzhou and Guangzhou, and two
overseas representative offices based respectively
in Abidjan, Cote d'lvoire for Central West Africa
and Johannesburg for Southern and Eastern Africa.
Under the direct leadership of the Head Office,
the branches and offices, following the guideline
of "serving the local community and enterprises
and promoting the development of export",
are committed to provide quality, efficient
and convenient services to the customers.
The business branches of the Bank
operate and manage their business within their
respective covering regions under the authority
of the Head Office. At present, the main business
lines of the branches include:
1. Export seller's credit
2. Export buyer's credit
3. Post-lending management of onlent foreign
government loans
4. International and domestic settlement and
corporate deposit services for loan clients
5. International guarantee
6. Credit standing investigation, advisory and
witness services
7. Other businesses authorised by the Head Office
within the business scope approved by the People's
Bank of China
The domestic representative offices
of the Bank are responsible for investigation,
statistics and supervision over agent businesses
under the authority of the Head Office. Their
major functions include project recommendation
and pre-lending investigation of export credits,
post-lending management for both export credit
and onlent foreign government loans, supervision
over the agent businesses of domestic correspondent
banks, investigations and research, and local
liaisons.
