Huang Ju, Vice Premier of the State Council of China and Member of the Standing Committee of Political Bureau of CPC, met with part of the deputies attending the 10th Annual Meeting of Asian Export Credit Agencies (Asian ECAs) in the Great Hall of the People this morning.

Huang Ju extended, on behalf of Chinese Government, congratulations to the annual meeting held in Beijing. He pointed out that with its establishment of 10 years, The Export-Import Bank of China (China Eximbank) has made active efforts to optimize the structure of Chinese export commodities as well as to promote the development of foreign relations and international economic and trade cooperation of China, already becoming an important supporting force of Chinese economy and foreign trade and a component of the Chinese financial system. Yet, as China Eximbank is still young with its short history, it needs to learn from other export credit agencies their helpful experience at a wider range and to a greater extent. Huang Ju expressed that he hopes through the convention of this Annual Meeting, Asian ECAs could learn from each other through exchanges of experience to overcome weak points for a common improvement, hence able to bring into further play the role of all the Asian ECAs and to make greater contribution to the economic and trade cooperation and the economic development of Asian region.

Other participants of the meeting included: Mr. Jin Renqing, Minister of Finance, Mr. Zhou Xiaochuan, Governor of People’s Bank of China, Mr. Liu Mingkang, Chairman of China Banking Regulatory Commission, Mr. You Quan, Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council, and Mr. Yang Zilin, President of China Eximbank.
