Policy Innovation for Trade Facilitation in Hainan Free Trade Port
Li Meng, Xie Yiman
In recent years, Hainan Free Trade Port has successively introduced a series of trade facilitation policies to promote a high level of opening-up at the institutional level. However, it still faces some problems and challenges in cross-border service trade, cross-border logistics and transportation, offshore trade, and other areas. It is suggested to draw on the experience of free trade ports such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Dubai, and further improve the trade facilitation policy system by strengthening supervision, building an intelligent system, easing restrictions on personnel entry and exit, and other measures. These efforts will effectively forestall and control market risks and steadily expand high-level opening-up.
