Project-level Grievance Redress Mechanism

CEXIM takes into full account the environmental and social impacts in providing financing support to our clients and projects. We have in place a Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM). Any people affected by projects that we finance through onlending loans from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), can submit their E&S grievances or suggestions to the following:

To assist us in handling your grievance or suggestion, we kindly request the following information:

· Name of complainant (and name of representative(s), if applicable)

· Name of company/project financed by CEXIM

· Contact information (e.g., address, telephone number, email, etc.)

· Description of the grievance/suggestion (including date, location, observation, harm, action, etc.)

· Any information related to the grievance/suggestion. E.g., documents, photographs, etc.

We protect affected people from retaliation and allow anonymous submission, if requested. All information will be recorded and kept confidential. We aim to reply to you within 30 days from the date of receipt of the grievance or suggestion.

If you think that your E&S concerns have not been adequately addressed by our GRM, you may seek resolution from the management of the AIIB, reachable at: information@aiib.org and further submit your grievance for independent dispute resolution or compliance review as per the AIIB’s Project Affected Peoples Mechanism (PPM) at Policy on the Project-affected People's Mechanism - Operational Policies & Directives - AIIB
