On November 5, Wang Chunying, President of the Export-Import Bank of China, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum, as well as relevant events.
During the CIIE, President Wang held talks with Wu Wei, Executive Vice Mayor of Shanghai. She also met with Fu Fan, Chairman of China Pacific Insurance and witnessed the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between the two sides. President Wang attended a parallel session themed “Free Trade Zones Driving Industrial Innovation and Global Trade” held during the 8th Hongqiao International Economic Forum and delivered a keynote speech. She also visited the staff working at the booth of the Bank at CIIE.
The 8th CIIE was held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10 as the first important economic and diplomatic event that China hosted after the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. This year’s event attracted participation from 155 countries, regions, and international organizations, setting new records in exhibition area and number of participating enterprises.
