Vice President Chen Bin Attends the 2025 APEC CEO Summit and Makes a Research Tour in South Korea

Recently, Chen Bin, Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of China, led a delegation on a research tour to South Korea. During the visit, he was invited to attend the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit, and held meetings with key partners including the Export-Import Bank of Korea and LG Display, as well as the Seoul Branch of China Construction Bank. 


Vice President Chen engaged in in-depth discussions with participants at the summit on topics such as regional economic integration, global economic outlook, artificial intelligence, and digital innovation. 


During the meeting with the Export-Import Bank of Korea, the two sides exchanged views on respective business operations and future cooperation opportunities across various sectors. Vice President Chen outlined the Banks development plan over the next five years, reaffirming the Bank’s commitment to further leveraging its role in promoting Chinas high-level opening-up. He also noted that both institutions, as policy banks dedicated to supporting their countries foreign trade and economic cooperation, should deepen practical collaboration to jointly advance the development of the co-funded Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility, and expand cooperation such as bond issuance and investment, as well as panda bond underwriting. 


During the meeting with LG Display, the two sides exchanged views on their business cooperation, future development plans and financing needs. The delegation stated that the Bank will continue to leverage the role of “patient capital” to serve the medium- and long-term financing needs of enterprises, thus helping them invest and do business in China.
