Vice President Wang Kang Attends the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo

On September 18, Wang Kang, Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of China, attended the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo and participated in the dialogue session titled Financial Support for Artificial Intelligence Development” at the China-ASEAN Financial Cooperation and Development Forum.

 

During the dialogue, Vice President Wang noted that as a financial institution dedicated to supporting Chinas foreign trade, investment and international economic cooperation, the Bank prioritizes ASEAN as a key region for business development. It has supported the implementation of a series of representative projects, injecting momentum into China-ASEAN win-win cooperation. Currently, ASEAN countries are undergoing a critical phase of digital transformation. The Bank will focus on its main responsibilities and leverage its diversified financial services to support Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in fulfilling its role as a frontier and window for opening up and cooperating with ASEAN. This will accelerate AI innovation cooperation between Guangxi and ASEAN nations, contributing to the cultivation of new productive forces and the building of a China-ASEAN community with a shared future.  


After the meeting, Vice President Wang visited the booth of the Bank at the China-ASEAN Expo to learn in details about the provision of financial services, and extended greetings to on-site staff. During the Expo, the Bank, through various means including a thematic exhibition, showcased its achievements in deepening China-ASEAN economic and trade cooperation, serving Belt and Road cooperation, and supporting the going global endeavor of Chinese enterprises.

    

Themed "Digital Intelligence and Innovation Empower Development--Leveraging China-ASEAN FTA 3.0 New Opportunities for an Even Closer China-ASEAN Community with a Shared Future", this years Expo spans a total exhibition area of 160,000 square meters and attracts over 3,200 enterprises from 60 countries.
