China Eximbank Attends the Opening Ceremony and Relevant Activities of the Forth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo Upon Invitation

Upon invitation, Chen Huaiyu, Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China and Yang Dongning, Vice President of the Bank attended the opening ceremony of the Fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo and listened to the addresses delivered by Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister, as well as by African leaders at the ceremony. 

 

As a financial institution supporting China’s foreign trade, investment, and international economic cooperation, the Bank, adhering to the principles of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith and the principle of pursuing the greater good and shared interests, works diligently to implement the outcomes of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and keeps increasing its financial support for Africa, which helps Africa accelerate its modernization process and enhance its capacity for self-driven sustainable development. By doing so, the Bank makes active contributions to building an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era. 

 

Jointly hosted by the People’s Government of Hunan Province and the Ministry of Commerce, the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo is an important platform for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. The Expo this year featured 30 diverse economic and trade activities focused on advancing the “Ten Partnership Actions” between China and Africa. These activities encompassed a wide range of themes and cooperation areas, including industrial chain collaboration, green minerals, infrastructure development, cultural industries and trade, as well as youth innovation and entrepreneurship. 

 

Vice Presindent Yang Dongning attended the Exchange Event on China-Africa Infrastructure Cooperation and delivered a speech.
