On May 7 local time, Wu Fulin, Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China met Catherine MacGregor, CEO of ENGIE Group, and Rodolphe Saade, CEO of CMA CGM respectively in Paris.
At the ENGIE Group, Chairman Wu exchanged views with CEO Catherine MacGregor on deepening cooperation. They agreed that the Bank and ENGIE Group share similarities in development philosophy, key market layout and other areas. Establishing strategic partnership on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and France, the two sides will surely open a new chapter of friendly cooperation. Standing at the new starting point, both sides will give priority to green energy cooperation, shore up strategy synergy, and focus on key areas such as renewable energy and infrastructure to carry out all-round cooperation in China and France as well as in the globe, in a bid to help realize carbon neutrality and carbon peaking goals. After the meeting, the two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding and the Terms and Conditions of relevant projects.
During the meeting with CMA CGM, Chairman Wu briefly introduced the Bank and exchanged views with CEO Rodolphe Saadeon on logistics, energy and other issues .
During his visit to France, Chairman Wu went to the Bank’s Paris Branch to conduct research and greet the staff. He said that as the Bank’s only overseas branch, Paris Branch should focus on the French market and expand business in other European countries, optimize resource allocation, strengthen coordination with the headquarters, consolidate the development momentum, and take the initiative to look into development strategy and substantiate international cooperation.
