Wu Fulin, Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China was invited to the Sixth Meeting of the China-France Business Council and spoke at the roundtable themed “Emerging Technologies and Sustainable Development”.
Chairman Wu noted that the history of humankind development is a history of technology advancement, and each technological revolution has profoundly changed people’s production and lives. The sustainable economic and social development has provided abundant application scenarios and broad development space for emerging technologies. In recent years, the rapid development of Fintech has not only empowered green finance, but also facilitated the sustainable operation of financial institutions. With regard to innovative products and service mode, financial institutions should strike a balance between financing and knowledge sharing, and manage well the relationship between innovation and tradition. The Bank, dedicated to supporting China’s foreign trade, investment and international economic cooperation, has been deeply engaged in the fields of technology and innovation, and continuously upgraded its products and optimized its services based on the new features of emerging technology development. The Bank keeps enhancing the quality and efficiency of its support for the real economy in areas such as sci-tech innovation, technology application, and green development. Going forward, the Bank is ready to leverage its professional advantages to help enterprises speed up the R&D, transfer and application of emerging technologies, so as to promote sustainable economic and social development and inject new impetus to the global economy development.
The China-France Business Council, established under the witness of the two heads of state in January 2018, aims to create an exchange platform for enterprises in China and France, as well as efficient communication channels between governments and enterprises, so as to facilitate China-France economic and trade cooperation in a pragmatic way.
