Wencai Zhang, Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of China, has recently been appointed as Managing Director and World Bank Group Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for institutional strategy, planning, budgeting, information technology services, and sanction systems, among other duties. The appointment was announced by the World Bank on February 20, 2024, in Washington, D.C., USA.

Established in 1945 and located in Washington, D.C., USA, the World Bank is the largest global multilateral development institution, with its mission to eradicate extreme poverty and promote shared prosperity on a sustainable planet.
