On December 4, Zhang Wencai, Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of China, met with Abebe Selassie, IMF African Department Director. The two sides exchanged views on a number of issues including African economic outlook, supporting Africa’s development and addressing the debt issue of developing countries. They agreed to maintain communication and coordination, enhance information and resource sharing, and explore opportunities for cooperation in such fields as sustainable development financing and capacity building. In so doing, the two sides aim to join hands in promoting the reform and improvement of international debt governance, enhancing the endogenous economic power of developing countries, and fostering more inclusive and resilient global development.
