As a panelist of the “Scaling Blended Finance to Support the Net Zero Transition in Asia” seminar, Vice President Zhang talked about major difficulties and obstacles facing developing countries in net-zero transition, and shared China Eximbank’s practices and experiences in green finance.
Vice President Zhang also exchanged views with officials from finance ministries of the United States and Bangladesh, as well as top executives from ADB, CAREC Institute, Citibank, HSBC, KfW, Mizuho Bank and other relevant institutions on strengthening international cooperation, promoting green development and properly handling debt issues for win-win outcomes. All parties agreed to further unleash potentials in key areas, explore third-party market cooperation, give full play to bilateral and multilateral platforms, enhance knowledge sharing and mutual learning, jointly tackle global challenges such as climate change, and promote poverty reduction as well as sustainable development, so as to inject new impetus to the economic recovery and growth of the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
