On the evening of 21 December, the IFRS Foundation announced that, Vice President Zhang Wencai was elected as a Trustee of the IFRS Foundation. He will officially take up this position for a three-year term, effective from 1 January 2023.

　　The IFRS Foundation is a not-for-profit, public interest organisation established to develop high-quality, understandable, enforceable and globally accepted accounting and sustainability disclosure standards, and to promote and facilitate adoption of the standards. Currently, the Foundation has 22 trustees from the Asia/Oceania, Europe, the Americas and Africa.
