The Chile Representative Office, China Eximbank’s first overseas institution in Latin America was officially established on April 14. 　  

The establishment of the Rep Office is an important step taken by the Bank to improve the layout of its overseas institutions based on the new development philosophy. Over the years, through pragmatic cooperation in agriculture, information and telecommunication, clean energy and other sectors, China has deepened its friendship with Chile and other Latin American countries under the Belt and Road Initiative. Looking ahead, Chile Rep Office will give play to its local advantages, and fully tap its potentials in market research, information sharing and personnel exchanges to better serve the customers in the region, so as to promote economic and trade cooperation between China and Latin America, and help bring the mutually beneficial cooperation to a new height. 

For now, China Eximbank has seven overseas institutions, namely, the Paris Branch, Representative Office for Southern and Eastern Africa, St. Petersburg Representative Office, Representative Office for Northern and Western Africa, Hong Kong Representative Office, Poland Representative Office and Chile Representative Office.
