The completion ceremony of China Eximbank-financed vocational education and training institutions' upgrading project in Ghana was held recently.
The project aims to provide laboratory equipment, curriculum design, faculty training, campus renovation and other related services for Ghana’s institutions of secondary and higher education. It is expected that nearly 30,000 local professional and technical talents will be trained each year in these upgraded institutions.
At the ceremony, Lu Kun, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana said that the project will help develop the country’s vocational education, through which more talents will be nurtured to help promote local economic and social development. China stands ready to work with the Ghanaian government to deepen all-round cooperation with closer ties formed between the two countries.
Ghana’s Minister of Education Yaw Osei Adutwum expressed appreciation to China for its great support in helping improve the country’s vocational education. He said that the Ghanaian government will spare no effort in developing vocational education, so as to speed up local industrialization and promote employment.
