China Eximbank Chairman Hu Xiaolian held talks with Elyar Ganiev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan on April 24^th in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on Belt and Road cooperation.  

H.E.Ganiev said that preliminary results of Uzbekistan’s domestic reform endeavors were attained. Uzbekistan supports the Belt and Road Initiative and stands ready to work with China to implement relevant projects. The government of Uzbekistan is grateful for China Eximbank’s long-term financial support. In recent years, a number of key projects financed by China Eximbank have been built, such as the Electrified Railway Line Angren-Pap. These projects have greatly promoted the country’s economic development. Looking into the future, Uzbekistan wants to continue such cooperation with China Eximbank on a series of projects, and jointly contribute to the building of the Belt and Road. 

Chairman Hu Xiaolian welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister's attendance to the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. She said that the two sides have worked on a number of key projects and built a solid foundation in a smooth and steady way, and there are still great potentials to tap into. Looking ahead, China Eximbank is fully prepared to strengthen communication with Uzbekistan’s government and further contribute to the fast and sound development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
