On June 17 2007, China Eximbank opened its branch in Chongqing city, the tenth business operation so far established in China. Mr. Wang Hongju, Mayor and Deputy Party Secretary of Chongqing city, and Mr. Li Ruogu, Chairman& President of China Eximbank, attended the opening ceremony. During the ceremony, China Eximbank and Chongqing Municipal Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement, committed to bringing Chongqing closer to the world for extensive economic cooperation in trade, capital and technology, etc. In addition, China Eximbank signed with Zongshen Industry(Group) Co., Ltd a strategic cooperation agreement, and signed with Chongqing Railway Communication Company a Master Agreement on Trading of Financial Derivatives. These agreements mark a new beginning of further cooperation between China Eximbank and Chongqing municipality, and a practical step made by China Eximbank to facilitate economic development in Chongqing via policy financing. |
