Zhang Qingsong, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of China Eximbank Held Talks with President Faure Gnassingbé of Togo

Zhang Qingsong, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of China Eximbank, held talks with Faure Gnassingbé, President of Togo on the morning of 6 September in Beijing. Both sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and future prospects. 

Speaking on the occasion, President Faure termed China Eximbank as an important partner of Togo. He expressed gratitude to the Bank for its support to facilitate the social and economic development of his country. He pointed out that many important measures proposed at the Johannesburg Summit of FOCAC were adequately implemented thanks to China Eximbank’s crucial role. Togo was willing to further deepen cooperation with China Eximbank. 

Deputy Secretary Zhang Qingsong said that China Eximbank highly valued its cooperative ties with Togo and supported a number of projects with positive outcomes. He said that China Eximbank was ready to deepen cooperation based on properly implementing the existing projects, besides selecting quality projects that could facilitate the sustainable social and economic development of Togo in the long run.
